VTLP is suite of software application that automates conversion of legacy code in to modern platform. It is specifically designed to convert CoolGen/CA-GEN code to simple Java/c# objects. There is also a native COBOL to Java conversion utility. The converted code is clean/concise and it can be incorporated into any standard Java framework (Spring, Hibernate, JSF etc.) and SOA architecture, which forms the basis for Cloud enabling. Costing depends on various factors including size of the system to be converted. VTLP re-engineering cost will not exceed an year's running cost of the cost of current Application System. The code generated by CA-GEN is not easily readable/editable and it is very cryptic. VTLP gives much simpler Java code which is directly editable and easily maintainable. If gen code has 300 statements in an action diagram, the GEN generated COBOL/Java code will have about 5000 to 6000 lines of code. VTLP converted Java /C# code will have about 500 to 600 lines of code for the same action diagram.
